What can we Afford?

How do they do it? I understand seeing a rich person driving a SUV like the Escalade around and everything, but when I see someone claiming is to not have a job or is not making enough money and he lives in the poor part of town driving an Escalade it makes me wonder, what are middle-class people doing or are not doing that puts them the bracket where they can't afford to drive an $80,000 SUV. I'd like to say to those low class income earners, why don't you share the wealth? But they don't have the wealth to begin with, or so we say.

I have seen people who claim to be low class so much jewelry on their hands, in the supermarket with two overflowing carts of groceries, I swear they know something that I don't, and most of these low class earners have like 10 kids, oh but wait! That's where we differ. Because of where they live, the amount of children they have, these people are allowed to go on welfare, get food stamps and any kind of help they can from the government including medical support. Meanwhile middle-class people work hard and pay these taxes, but will never be able to ask for assistance... That's just crap.

This just ticks me off like crazy, it seems like we work hard to get nowhere get nothing and get a whole lot more headaches.

Taxed To Death

Okay, another day another dollar. Well that's about all we're worth really, think about it. Each time we get our paychecks, we see so much of our money being collected for taxes, what's left of that money we take to purchase food, clothing, pay for bills and other crazy little stuff, but if they've already taken taxes from our paychecks, why then are we still paying taxes for our food, clothing, and other crazy little stuff. Wouldn't this be considered double taxing?

Taxes are taken from our paychecks, we pay taxes when we go shopping, we are taxed for utilities, phone bills and anything else they can think of… Seriously we are being overtaxed. Who else thinks this is unreasonable?

Do you know that if you don't pay your taxes, there is a penalty which could range from anywhere between added interest and jail time. But, if the government owes you money and they don't pay you in a certain amount of time you do not collect interest, and they don't go to jail. Do you see the justice in this?

America is being taxed to death, the money they have collected, according to them is to benefit us, but the majority of that money is being used to benefit other countries not us. Take for example, I've just visited New York, and for every purchase you make there you will pay 8% in taxes, yet the streets are so destroyed that the vehicle you are in is being destroyed just driving on them. Where is the taxes to fix those streets?

In the Bronx, in Queens, in certain areas of Manhattan, garbage is being collected on the sidewalks and will remain there for days, isn't the tax payers money paying the government or the city to clean those streets? Isn't that what it is for? Along with so many other things that need fixing? If not, then what is it being used for?

God Bless America and the money flying out the window.

The Class-ified

Let me introduce myself.  I'm Christina, a single mother of one, hard worker, and I'm considered "middle class".  Isn't that just great? My label tells you that I'm working, have a roof over my head, and friggin pay a lot of taxes to keep stuck where I am.  And before you even start telling me that I shouldn't complain, I have news for you, it's those of us who don't say anything that end up with a whole chit-load of stress and die at a very young age.

Middle-class isn't all it's cracked up to be, and whoever says it is, is a damn liar.  Sure I have a home, sure I drive a car, it's not the best of the best, my home is small, but it's all I can afford, and I'm sorry, but a little more than 20 percent of my pay check is taken out for taxes and medicare.  No, I don't get a 401K, I don't have any medical insurance, it's not offered through the company I work for.  I'm not saying I'm working for a bad company, in fact these people I work for are really great to work with, but it's a small company, they simply don't offer these kind of "luxuries".

Sometimes I think of all that money that is taken out of my pay check each week.  Ok, I understand that the taxes are necessary to help run our country, or so we are told.  But hell, I'm paying for medicare and I can't reap the benefits?  I'm a veteran, I served in the Gulf war, but I still have to pay for my medicine when I go to the VA...fine, no problem, but when it comes to my child, she's not covered for VA assistance, nor does she receive medicaid.

Like most of you, I either make too much to qualify for government assistance, or too little to pay for medical assistance for my child or myself...f#@k they took more than 20% of my paycheck each and every week, I have a mortgage, home and car insurance to deal with and a whole lotta other bills, wait and even more taxes to deal with at the end of the year (estate tax).  Let's just tell it like it is...Middle-class Friggin' Sucks shells.

But I get up and go to work every single day, because someone's gotta pay for those fancy cars and houses that we put our state and country representatives in.  Com'on people, don't let them suffer, they are used to the life style we have been giving them, let's get out there and work our a$$es off to make them fat and happy.
